Turkey tests "Firtina-2" howitzer

Successful tests of the Firtina-2 (Storm-2) howitzer were conducted in Turkey, the Turkish media reported March 12 citing military sources.

Reportedly, Firtina-2 howitzer tests were conducted in Sakarya province in the north-west of Turkey.

The howitzer's range is 40 kilometers.

From 2011, Turkey has set up the production of mobile outposts that proved effective in fight against the militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), and also the Canik TP9 handguns, unmanned ANKA aircraft and other military equipment to strengthen the domestic defense industry.
