In January-August 2019, Turkey's exports of textile products increased by 0.2 percent, compared to the same period in 2018, and amounted to $11.795 billion, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Exporters Assembly.
The share of textile exports in the reported period was 10.1 percent of total exports of Turkey.
In August 2019, Turkish textile exports grew by 1.2 percent compared to August 2018, having amounted to $1.401 billion. This is 10.7 percent of Turkey's total textile imports in August 2019.
The exporters assembly noted that over the past 12 months (August 2018 - August 2019), Turkish textile exports grew by 1 percent compared to August 2017 - August 2018, having amounted to $17.647 billion.
