The exports of steel from Turkey to Iran increased by 2.7 percent in January 2021 compared to the same month of 2020, surpassing $4.34 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, in January 2021, Turkey’s steel exports to international markets dropped by 7 percent compared to Jan. 2020, having stood at $1.05 billion.
At the same time, Turkey’s steel exports accounted for 7.8 percent of the country's total exports during this period.
During the past 12 months (from January 2020 to January 2021) Turkey has exported steel worth over $12.5 billion.
