The Turkish port of Izmir has received 1,131 ships from January through September 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend on Nov. 2.
According to the ministry, of the ships accepted by the port, 300 flew the flag of Turkey, and 831 - the flags of other countries.
In September this year, Turkish ports totally received 4,407 ships, of which 1,281 were flying the flag of Turkey, and 3,126 - the flags of other countries, the ministry said.
Totally, in the first nine months of 2021, the ports of Turkey received 38,304 ships, including 11,562 - the flag of Turkey.
The rest of the ships were flying the flags of other countries, added the ministry.
