BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. The Turkish port of Ayvalik, located in Balikesir city, totally received 129 vessels from January through May 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye, all of the received vessels were under the flags of other countries during the specified period.
The ports of Türkiye received 3,885 vessels in May 2023.
Meanwhile, the number of vessels accepted into the ports of Türkiye under the flags of other countries amounted to 1,674, while the number of vessels accepted under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 5,559 during this period.
The total number of vessels accepted by Turkish ports from January through May 2023 is 16,388.
Vessels under the flags of other countries, accepted into Turkish ports, transported 6,837 people, while vessels under the Turkish flag - 23,175 people, during the specified period.
