BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. The Turkish port of Bandirma received 3.8 million tons of cargo from January through October 2023, Trend reports.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye noted that 271,812 tons of cargo were transported from the port of Bandirma by ships under the Turkish flag, and 3.5 million tons of cargo were transported by ships under the flags of other countries.
"A total of 156,188 tons of transit cargo were transported from the Turkish port of Bandirma from January through October 2023," the ministry said.
Cargo worth 2.4 million tons was delivered to the ports of Türkiye by ships under the Turkish flag in October 2023.
"Cargo traffic of vessels under the flags of other countries to Turkish ports amounted to 31.2 million tons," the ministry said.
In addition, 5.2 million tons of transit cargo were transported from Turkish ports in October 2023.
According to the ministry, Türkiye's ports received 326.3 million tons of cargo from January through October 2023.
The cargo traffic of Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 24.1 million tons from January through October 2023, while vessels under the flags of other countries accounted for 302.1 million tons.
A total of 56.9 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the ports of Türkiye from January through October 2023.
In addition, Turkish ports received 5,581 ships in October this year (3,764 vessels under the flags of other countries, 1,817 vessels under the flag of Türkiye).
Ports of Türkiye received 51,186 vessels from January through October 2023 (34,822 vessels under the flags of other countries and 16,364 vessels under the Turkish flag).
In general, Turkish ports received 394 million tons of cargo in 2022.
