BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. Türkiye registered 318 firms with German capital in 2023, 166 fewer than in 2022, Trend reports, referring to the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).
TOBB data shows that despite a decrease in the number of German companies registered in Türkiye, their total capital increased during the reporting period.
"While the total capital of German companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 275.5 million Turkish Liras, or $9.1 million, the figure for 2022 was 251.2 million Liras, or $8.3.1 million," said the statement.
TOBB also mentioned that in 2023, the majority of German companies were registered in the capital city of Istanbul (158).
"The total capital of German companies registered in Istanbul amounted to 206.3 million Turkish Liras, or $6.8 million," TOBB emphasized.
According to the information, 29 construction companies, 102 wholesale and retail trading companies, and 9 tourism companies with German capital were registered in Türkiye in 2023. The rest of the companies operate in other economic sectors.
