By Elena Kosolapova - Trend:

Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund will prepare its non-core assets by mid-December to put up them for privatization, said the message from Samruk-Kazyna.

The fund's head Umirzak Shukeyev said it will be possible only if the list of these assets is approved by the government.

Privatization will enable to transfer the non-core assets of Samruk-Kazyna to business. This will free the resources of national companies and enable them to focus on core activities and implementation of new projects.

Moreover, the fund will make the list of foreign representative offices of Samruk-Kazyna's subsidiaries to be closed down.

The companies have already been instructed to take measures to close down their non-productive offices by late March 2016.
