Prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Argentina in the agrarian sector were under discussion when Azerbaijani Ambassador to Argentina Mammad Ahmadzade discussed issues of bilateral cooperation with Argentine Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Minister Norberto Yahuar, the Foreign Ministry said with reference to the Embassy on Friday.
The Argentine minister informed Ahmadzade about the country's rich experience in the field of agriculture, expressing his country's interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan in this sphere, transfer of high technologies and providing technical support and implementation of joint projects.
Ahmadzade, in turn, spoke about the country's great economic successes, growing economic opportunities, multi-vector economic strategy stressing that the agricultural sector is one of the priorities of Azerbaijan's economy.
The sides exchanged views on concrete steps of cooperation in the agricultural sector at the meeting.
