Belarus and Azerbaijan sign bilateral trade agreements

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20. Contracts, agreements and other documents worth more than $70 million were signed as part of the business program of the visit of Belarusian PM Roman Golovchenko to Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to Belarus Today newspaper.

According to the newspaper, agreements and contracts were signed for a total amount of more than $55 million within the framework of the first day of international exhibitions (the 27th Interfood Azerbaijan exhibition and the 15th Caspian Agro exhibition).

The contract was signed, during the visit of Golovchenko to Azerbaijan’s Ganja Automotive Plant, for the supply of 950 unassembled tractors in the amount of $15.5 million between Belarusian Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ JSC) and Ganja Automotive Plant.

A Memorandum of cooperation also was signed between Ganja Automotive Plant and Gomselmash OJSC (managing company of Belarusian Gomselmash holding).

The number of signed contracts increased to over $70 million as a result of the business part of Roman Golovchenko’s two-day visit to Azerbaijan.
