No country to impose its point of view onto Azerbaijan – Russian MP
Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 28
No country will be able to impose its point of view onto Azerbaijan - a state with such a rich culture, Roman Khudyakov, member of Russia's State Duma, a representative of the Liberal Democratic Party told "secki-2015.az" website, dedicated to the country's parliamentary election.
Khudyakov further said the pressure put by the West on Azerbaijan will not affect the positive image of Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan has its own traditions, and its own view of politics, which doesn't coincide with the views of the West and the US," Khudyakov said, adding that he doesn't even get the point of the West's claims to Azerbaijan.
Involvement of nine parties in the parliamentary election in Azerbaijan suggests a great choice for the electorate, he further said.
Russian MP further said the high level of political culture of Azerbaijanis, as well as a constructive and diplomatic policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev create conditions to seek a compromise inside the country and in the entire region.
"Serious control during the election, for example fingerprint verification is important," he said.
"Dozens of international observers will be also watching the election," said the MP. "Therefore, I'm sure that the Nov. 1 parliamentary election will be held in the conditions of transparency and fair competition."
"This election will ensure the country's development in the coming years," said Khudyakov.
