Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynly / The Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan, Khanlar Veliyev, stated on the 25th of June, in Baku, that the necessary work is being carried out to extradite the prosecuted officer of the Azerbaijan National Army, Ramil Safarov, from Hungary. "We believe in the reality of returning the Azerbaijani officer," he stressed.
Veliyev stated that several days ago, he was in Hungary and met with Safarov. According to him, the soldier is satisfied with the detention conditions. According to the decision of the Budapest Court, Ramil Safarov was sentenced to life-imprisonment for killing Armenian Army officer Gurgen Markaryan. The incident took place during a NATO seminar.
