About 8 kilograms of drugs have been found in a car on the border of Azerbaijan and Iran, the official site of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said today.
The operation was carried out by employees of the Southern Regional Department of the Chief Directorate for Combating Drugs under the Interior Ministry, with police from the Bilasuvar region.
A car with the registration plate "VAZ-2106", owned by Astara region resident Elman Gurbanov, was inspected.
About 5.1kg of heroin, 1.8kg of hashish and 924g of opium were seized during the inspection.
