Chairman of Azerbaijan Central Election Committee to Supervise Ukraine’s Parliamentary Elections
Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / The chairman of the Azerbaijan Central Election Committee (CEC), Mazahir Panahov, will supervise the parliamentary elections in Ukraine to be held on 30 September, according to CEC.
Panahov's visit will take place within the framework of the Memorandum on Cooperation signed between the Ukraine and Azerbaijan's Central Election Committees in 2000. CEC delegation including 5 members and headed by Panahov will stay in Kiev from 28 September to 1 October.
OSCE Bureau for Democratic Institutes and Human Rights was also invited to supervise the elections. One of the Azerbaijan CEC representatives will be sent on assignment to Ukraine within the OSCE short-term supervisory mission to stay in Kiev from 26 September to 3 October.
In August, the CEC delegation within OSCE long-term and short-term missions supervised parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan.
