Work Underway on New Program on Border Villages Development
Azerbaijan, Gazax / corr Trend I.Fatullaeva / Work continues on a new program to develop the border villages of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva, visiting west Azerbaijan said on 17 September.
According to Pashayeva, the program envisages the repair of roads, hospitals, medical stations, schools and other buildings in the villages. "The aim of the program is to improve the living conditions of the rural residents of the bordering regions," Pashayeva said.
To remove the lack of teachers in border villages, privileges have been designed in the program for highly-qualified teachers. The project will be submitted to the autumn session of the Azerbaijan Parliament for discussion.
Azerbaijan is bordering with Georgia, Iran, Russia, Turkey and Armenia.
