Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend A.Gasimova / The President of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, may overcome the crisis in the Country resulted by the accusations of Georgia's former Defense Minister against the President.
"Saakashvili is backed by the majority of the nation and the law enforcement bodies and due to it he might go through this crisis," said the Russian politician, Director of the Political Studies Institute, Sergey Markov.
The former companion of the Georgian President, former Defense Minister, Irakli Okruashvili, stated on TV that Saakashvili held talks with him regarding possible bankruptcy of the well-known businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili. In addition, he accused the President of daily repressions, destroying houses and churches, robbery, assassinations and intimidating people and ostentatious fight against corruption.
Markov said that it was cleared from Okruashvili's severe appearance in the policy that he has serious support amongst the population and law-enforcement bodies. "The Georgian want strong leader which they consider Okruashvili," he said.
According to Markov, Saakashvili came to power and collected his team from the radicals, including Okruashvili.
According to the politician, Saakashvili faced the threat of Okruashvili personally beginning a war in Osetia and possibly carry out military revolution against him.
"Exactly for this reason, he dismissed Okruashvili a year ago though his own initiative and consent of the Americans, but provided that Okruashvili will not strongly interfere in the policy," the expert said. However, in several times, Okruashvili decided that there are enough motives and began intensified political activities, the politician said.
Due to the results of the crisis, Markov said that currently no-one can speak of the results because it is unclear how Okruashvili will be supported. "Even the Georgian politicians can not determine how Okruashvili will be supported. Everything depends on it," Russian politician said.
