Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 February / corr. Trend K. Zarbaliyeva/ The frontier guards of Azerbaijan disclosed the cigarettes smuggled from Iran to Azerbaijan.
On 22 Feb, the frontier post, located not far from the Dashkand village of Yardimli region of Azerbaijan, confiscated smuggled cigarettes from Iran in large numbers, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan said to Trend on 29 February. The smugglers attempted to escape, but were detained.
The frontier guards seized 15,300 boxes of cigarette of SV Light brand, 10,850 boxes of Esse brand, and 292 boxes of pipe tobacco of Captain Black brand that were hidden in the forests of Ostayir village of Yardimli region.
