The Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered the Right and Democracy referendum initiative group.
The signatures were collected from 86 constituencies.
Of 42,450 signatures, 40,759 were valid and 1,691 - invalid, CEC Secretary Natik Mammadov said.
In late December, Azerbaijan's parliament passed a decision to hold a referendum March 18 to amend the Constitution. It was decided to hold a referendum to amend 29 articles in the Constitution.
The CEC registered the Yeni Azerbaijan, Shahar and Taraggi groups.
The Abad Kand group was refused registration.
The Constitution was adopted in 1995. Amendments and additions were made in 2002.
