Number of blast victims in Iran's Zahedan city ups (UPDATE-2)

The number of victims of the explosion in the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan has reached 25 people, said IRNA news agency reported.

The report also names 24 victims. All the victims of the blast are men and there is a Afghan citizen amongst them.

"Six of the injured who were in serious condition, died in hospital," director of Iran's organization of martyrs, prisoners, missing persons and hostages Mohammed Gulami told Fars agency. He said the number of the injured is 125. Of these, 40 people received outpatient treatment and were discharged home.   

The suspects in the bombing of the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan have been detained, head of the province administration Ali Mohammad Azad said during a meeting with the injured in the incident, IRNA reported.

"Members of terrorist groups that organized the bombing in the Ali ibn Abitalib Mosque have been arrested as a result of the strengthened efforts of the security forces," Azad said.

He said the detained people are currently being questioned in the regional office of the Ministry of National Security.

"After investigation, the members of the terrorist group will get a well-deserved punishment," Azad said.

A blast occurred in the Ali ibn Abitalib Mosque in the Iranian Zahedan city on May 28. As a result, 80 people were injured, 19 - died.

Azad said there are four children among the dead, who came to the mosque with their parents
