Azerbaijan starts to train chairmen of constituencies

According to the presidential decree on approval of National Action Plan for the protection of human rights in Azerbaijan, the goal of the training is to strengthen electoral enlightenment, as well as improve professional training of chairmen of constituencies.

On Sept.7, Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan launched a specialized training on election law for the chairmen of the constituencies.

According to the presidential decree on approval of National Action Plan for the protection of human rights in Azerbaijan, the goal of the training is to strengthen electoral enlightenment, as well as improve professional training of chairmen of constituencies.

The CEC Chairman, Mazahir Panahov, Heads of the Presidential Administration's departments Zeynal Nagdaliyev and Shahin Aliyev, Director of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Seyfeddin Gandilov, and other officials attended the opening ceremony of the trainings.

Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev, Department Head of Presidential Administration, Ali Hasanov, Chairman of the Parliamentary Permanent Committee, Arif Rahimzade, Deputy Interior Minister, Oruj Zalov, officials of the Justice Ministry and Prosecutor's Office, the CEC members and heads of departments, as well as Chairman of the National Association of the City Municipalities will deliver lectures during the trainings which will last by Sept12. After the completion of the trainings, the chairmen of constituencies will receive certificates.
The specialized trainings on electoral law for members and chairmen of constituencies will be held on Sept.23-25.
