Azerbaijan president receives credentials of ambassador of Libya
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on 3 March received the credentials of the ambassador of Libya Saad Mustafa Mujbir, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
Ambassador Saad Mustafa Mujbir conveyed greetings of the Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi to the president of Azerbaijan. He remembered his meeting with the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev ten years ago and said Libya was one of the first countries to recognize independence of Azerbaijan. The Libyan ambassador said he would spare no effort to enrich the bilateral relations of the two countries.
Head of the Azerbaijan State noted good level of relations between Azerbaijan and Libya which closely cooperate on the international organizations, including the Islamic Conference Organization and the United Nations.
Azerbaijan is keen in deepening of the bilateral relations with Libya, President Aliyev underlined, stressing existence of good prospects to further boost these ties.
President of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude for greetings from Mr. Muammar Gaddafi and requested to convey his greetings to the Libyan president.
