A report on Georgia by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton will be read at a meeting of EU foreign ministers today.
Ashton recently returned from a visit Georgia.
Georgian Ambassador to the Benelux and the EU Salome Samadashvili said Georgia's finding a spot on the agenda is "very important," and indicates the organization's interest in the country.
She added that the EU Council of Ministers will discuss Georgia's association with the EU.
Ashton's report will also be studied in this context.
