Uzbek President Islam Karimov sent his birthday wishes today to Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbayeva.
"Please accept my sincere congratulations on your birthday," he wrote. "I am confident that Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations will continue to steadily develop based on the principle of good neighborliness and mutually beneficial partnership."
Karimov wished Otunbayeva good health, prosperity and success.
Otunbayeva assumed office July 3, several months after the ousting of former President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.
