A total of 1,260 local and 10 foreign observers will monitor the parliamentary elections in the Azerbaijani city of Ganja.

About 210 observers have been registered at the initiative of political parties, 785 at their own initiative, 103 - at the initiative of the candidates, 162 - at the initiative of NGOs.

Four foreign observers are from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the six from the CIS, said the district electoral commissions.
There are four district commissions in Ganja - No 37, 38, 39 and 40.
A total of 148,861 voters have been registered in Ganja

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.

Ganja is located in 365 km west of Baku.
