Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Abdullah Gul met in Istanbul on Wednesday, Anadolu news agency reported.
The meeting was closed to press.
The Presidents expressed satisfaction with development of friendly and fraternal relations between the countries in various spheres. They stressed prospects for expanding energy cooperation, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
The Heads of the State also discussed settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
President Ilham Aliyev is in Istanbul to attend the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to be held on Thursday.
