President Ilham Aliyev receives Chief of Russia`s Presidential Administration
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Saturday Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
The Head of State expressed hope that Naryshkin`s all meetings here would be successful. President Ilham Aliyev underlined the need to intensify preparatory work this year for the Baku International Humanitarian Forum, adding the event will have a new status. The Azerbaijani leader pointed out these events would be held in not only the Russia-Azerbaijan format but also in the international one. He added this process was started by Azerbaijan and Russia as its founders and initiators.
President Ilham Aliyev underscored Azerbaijan-Russia relations cover many fields. The Head of State noted all issues regarding development of bilateral ties are addressed constructively and promptly at meetings with President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. President Aliyev pointed out some important agreements had been reached during Russian President`s recent visit. He said the Baku summit of Caspian nations was held "at a very high level". He underlined both countries enjoy mutual understanding on regional matters as well. The Azerbaijani leader said the Azerbaijan trip of the chief of the RF`s Presidential Administration would contribute to development of bilateral relations in 2011.
Naryshkin conveyed Russian President Dmitry Medvedev`s greetings to the Azerbaijani leader. He noted high-level cooperation has good prospects in economic and political fields. The Russian official pointed out Russia and Azerbaijan implement a comprehensive humanitarian program, adding the humanitarian forum, which has already become international, is the great event in a format of not only bilateral but also multilateral relations .
The Head of State asked Naryshkin to pass on his greetings to the Head of the Russian State.
