The explosion at the Domodedovo airport again stressed that Russia and the capital Moscow is under the threat of terrorism, said hief Editor of the Russian analytical agency Vestnik Kavkaza and Moscow State University History Department Deputy Dean Alexei Vlasov.
"These tragic events have a double meaning. Firstly, this is lack of awareness of special services, which through their channels could not get information about the threat to such an important strategic facility as airport. Secondly, it is the nature of terrorism, which, unfortunately, remains unexplored," believes Vlasov.
According to the preliminary data, an explosive device was put into action by a suicide bomber at the Domodedovo airport, RIA Novosti reported.
Number of people killed in the terror attack in Domodedovo airport has risen to 35, said press secretary of the airport Yelena Galanova.
According to Vlasov, massive tensions disappeared in the North Caucasus, Chechnya reconciled, but still exploding bombs kill people.
"And that means there are factors inside or outside the system, which generate fear and bring death to innocent people. It needs to not only strengthen the coordination component of special services, but a clear and distinct public reaction. Exactly in such a tragic moment, the Russian people should and must demonstrate their solidarity against a common threat," he stressed.
