Azerbaijani Supreme Court Chairman Ramiz Rzayev received an Uzbek delegation led by Prosecutor General Rashitjon Kadyrov, the Court told Trend.
Rzayev stressed that bilateral relations between the judicial and legal systems of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are developing within the CIS, as well as within the international organizations.
He provided guests with comprehensive information on measures taken in the country in the legal sphere, the Supreme Court's structure and its activities.
Rzayev expressed confidence that Kadyrov's visit will contribute to the development of cooperation between prosecutors' offices and the judiciary. Favorable and strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries will open up new prospects for cooperation between the Azerbaijani-Uzbek law enforcement agencies.
Kadyrov said the measures implemented in recent years in the judicial system made using it a pleasant experience.
He spoke about the reforms ongoing in Uzbekistan in the legal field and the work of prosecutors. He stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries.
