Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has today met with his Hungarian counterpart Pal Schmitt during his official visit to Hungary. Saakashvili thanked Hungary for its support to Georgia and presented a saber to President Schmitt, the Georgian presidential administration told Trend.
During the visit, Saakashvili will meet with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Parliamentary Speaker Laszlo Kover and representatives of the local business circles.
This is Saakashvili's first official visit to Hungary. Saakashvili inaugurated monument to Shota Rustaveli and the homonymous square in Budapest.
