Azerbaijani President receives Kazakhstan's permanent delegate to UNESCO

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today Kazakhstan's permanent delegate to UNESCO, poet and writer Oljas Suleimenov, the Azerbaijani President's official website reported.

The Head of State congratulated Suleimenov on his 75th birthday and wished him successes and robust health.

According to the President, Suleimenov is popular in Azerbaijan and his activity is highly appreciated in the country.

The Head of State pointed out Suleimenov always protects the interests of the Kazakh people, expressing his position clearly. President Ilham Aliyev noted the Azerbaijani people would never forget the fact that Suleimenov demonstrated resolute stance when Azerbaijan faced the 20 January tragedy.

The Head of State highly appreciated the fact that Suleimenov, as a permanent delegate to UNESCO and public figure, is glad about Azerbaijan's accomplishments and development.
President Ilham Aliyev presented the "Dostluq" (Friendship) order to Suleimenov for his contributions to popularize the Azerbaijani culture in the world.

Oljas Suleimenov, in turn, thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the order. He said he was always very happy with the great development processes in Azerbaijan, particularly successes in cultural sphere.

Suleimenov expressed confidence the policy being pursued by Azerbaijan's President would further bring prosperity to Azerbaijan.
