Georgia, Tbilisi, July 7 /Trend, N.Kirtskhalia/

Georgian Interior Ministry confirmed the arrest of four people this morning on charges of espionage. Georgian Interior Ministry said in a statement that Georgian President's personal photographer Irakli Gedenidze and his wife Natia Gedenidze, photographer of the Foreign Ministry Giorgi Abdaladze, photographer of the European photo agency Zurab Kurtsikidze were detained.
Georgian Interior Ministry said that all detainees are accused of transferring material to organizations operating under the guise of security services of another country. "This information relates to their activities, and its transmission has caused damage to the state," said the statement.

They may be sentenced to 8 to 12 years in priosn.
Previously, arrested Associated Press photographer Shah Aivazov was released.
