Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the Regulations on the State Commission for Emergency Situations, the Turkmen official source said.

A list including the information about emergency situations, the category of emergency situations provided by the ministries, departments and administrations has been also approved.

The relevant documents were adopted to ensure prompt and effective response in case of emergency situations.

According to the document, the base value will be set at $ 100,000 manat ($ 1 equals 2.85 Turkmen manat) to determine the extent of material damage caused by emergency situations from August 1.

Moreover, the document prescribed to create commissions for emergency situations at the ministries, sectoral departments, enterprises and organizations to prevent emergency situations and to control measures to eliminate negative effects.

President Berdimuhamedov said that these specialized bodies must have high mobility, excellent technical equipment and professional staff.
According to the official information, one of the recent emergency situations in the country, occurred on July 7. It was connected with the ignition of pyrotechnics in warehouses around the city of Abadan.

In particular, it was reported that as a result of an emergency situation, two servicemen and 13 civilians were killed, nearby houses and buildings were partially damaged.

According to the official information, restoration work teams operate in this area. The damaged buildings and homes are under repair. People receive social support.

The President instructed to prepare the necessary documents to create a new town on the site of the old city of Abadan, meeting all modern requirements.
