Azerbaijan, Baku, May 20 / Trend, M. Aliyev /
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has denied reports from several media outlets on the possibility of a weapons purchase from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
"Recently a number of media outlets, in reference to a UN report, propagated information stating that Azerbaijan allegedly buys weapons from North Korea. This information does not reflect reality," Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev told journalists on Monday.
Azerbaijan will study this issue in detail, Abdullayev added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also investigating how this information was reflected in the report of the United Nations, he said.
