Azerbaijan, Baku, July 4 / Trend, R. Hafizoglu /

Turkey is closely following the events in Egypt, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, the TRT Haber channel reported on Thursday.

According to the Foreign Minister, the arrests of the president and the prime minister are undemocratic and unacceptable.

Davutoglu said that Turkey does not support any political party in Egypt; the country supports the interests of the Egyptian people.

According to Davutoglu, Turkey does not agree with the opinion that democracy is not inherent in Arab and Muslim countries.

On Thursday Adly Mansour was sworn in as the new head of the Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt and the interim head of state. During the oath, Mansour said that there is no place for Mohamed Morsi in Egypt.

Earlier, the command of the Egyptian armed forces made a statement. It demanded that all political forces are to meet the people's requirements within 48 hours; otherwise the country's armed forces intend to announce an ''action map'' which will be carried out under their supervision in order to overcome the crisis. On Wednesday after the expiration of the ultimatum, the Egyptian army ousted the country's president from office and he was taken to the Ministry of Defense.

According to the Egyptian media outlets, the president will be under house arrest.

Today, the arrests of supporters of president Mohammed Morsi are continuing in Egypt, Al Jazeera channel reported.

According to the channel, at the moment more than a hundred supporters of the president have been arrested.
