President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti on May 8.
The president said cooperation between the government of Azerbaijan and the EBRD develops successfully.
Touching upon the achievements gained in economic field, President Aliyev noted that despite oil drop, this didn`t have strong impact on Azerbaijan`s economy, thanks to the work done in the direction of diversification of the economy in the country.
The president said the visit of the delegation led by Chakrabarti was a good opportunity to discuss the issues related to the prospects of cooperation.
Chakrabarti said Azerbaijan was a reliable partner, saying the EBRD he leads attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Chakrabarti expressed satisfaction with the projects carried out in Azerbaijan, and stressed the importance of work done in diversification of the economy, development of the non-oil field in the country.
They exchanged views on the issues related to the prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and EBRD in establishment of energy infrastructure, information-communication technologies, transport, agriculture and other fields.
