BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received a delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Bulgaria Vasil Georgiev on April 28, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan told Trend.
Bayramov noted with satisfaction the development of a strategic partnership between two countries based on mutual interests and international law, at the meeting.
According to him, bilateral political dialogue and high-level mutual contacts make a positive contribution to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
Azerbaijani Minister Bayramov noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and joint efforts will be continued to further expand ties in various directions.
Georgiev emphasized the productivity of his visit to Azerbaijan and a rich work program, within the framework of which a round of political consultations was held, and bilateral meetings were organized.
Deputy Minister noted that there are very good relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria in the political sphere, also economic, energy, transport, humanitarian, and cultural ties are successfully developing.
Meeting discussed cooperation between two countries within the framework of international organizations, also the situation in Ukraine, and other regional issues.
Bayramov expressed his gratitude to the Bulgarian side for creating the necessary conditions for the passage of Azerbaijani citizens through the territory of Bulgaria in connection with the situation in Ukraine.
Georgiev added that Bulgarian Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska invited her Azerbaijani counterpart to visit Sofia, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
