BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. Hopefully, the direct dialogue between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia will let parties achieve additional results, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said, Trend reports.
"In a trilateral format, I would suggest looking at discussing the whole range of issues of normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations and agreeing on further steps, taking into account the opportunities that Russia has, which we can use to promote this," he said.
Russian FM noted that the trilateral statements include a roadmap for achieving sustainable solutions.
"We analyzed the situation around the South Caucasus. I believe that there is no alternative to the agreements of our leaders. We are fully interested in stability and peace in this region. Russian interests are directly linked here and we will do everything possible to ensure that decisions concerning the stabilization of the situation are implemented," he said.
