JAPANESE GOVERNMENT ALLOTS $100,000 TO RECONSTRUCTION OF ORPHANAGE IN GANJA

The Japanese government allotted approximately $100,000 to implement the project on the reconstruction of orphanage 1 in Ganja under the agreement signed with the Labirit NGO in Baku on 13 September, Trend reports.

The project is implemented within the grant program �Human safety and roots of herbs’ by the Japanese government signed by Tadakhiro Abe, the Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and Sabina Shikhllinskaya, the chairman of the NGO.

In his remarks, Abe said that the Japanese government supports economic and social development of Azerbaijan. Basis of economic development is social development. Therefore, the Japanese government tries to assist to the development of the education and the health systems of Azerbaijan.

Japan rendered approximately $700m aid to Azerbaijan over period of independence. Japan allotted over $400,000 to Azerbaijan within the program �Human safety and roots of herbs’ in 2004.

Japan has implemented the project on the reconstruction of the boarding school in the Turkan village, Sabunchu.
