“The Elections bloc Civil Society Builders (CSB) concluded the preparations for the rally scheduled for 24 September at 17.00,” Yashar Jafarli, the head of the central election headquarter of the CSB, told Trend.
According to Jafarli, they are not panning to march. “The people will gather in the square,” Jafarli underlined. He found difficulty to specify the exact number of the participants in the action, noting in the letter addressed to the Mayoral Office the figure was indicated as 10,000-15,000.
Jafarli the non-governmental organizations will participate in the rally to be staged by the CSB, which united 5 parties and 20 non-governmental organizations.
He said that they plan to organize several rallies till the elections day. “The protestors will show placards challenging the democratic holding of elections,” he underscored.
All candidates from the CSB will make appeals during the rally on 24 September. Jafarli said that had not received reply from the mayoral office yet in connection with the sanctioning of the action. “We have still time and we believe in positive answer,” Jafarli underscored.
