MEETING OF INTER-STATE COUNCIL ON ANTI-MONOPOLY POLICY OF CIS COUNTRIES TAKES PLACE IN BAKU

The XXII sitting of the Inter-State Council on the Anti-Monopoly Policy (ICAP) of the CIS countries launched its work on 26 September 2005 in Baku. Delegates from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tadjikistan, Ukraine take part in the sitting, Trend reports.

The Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development (MED) Farhad Aliyev, head of the Department on the Anti-monopoly policy of the Ministry, Ragim Huseynov, head of the department’s sector Araz Aliyev are involved in the event from the Azerbaijani side.

Farhad Aliyev marked the key programs implemented in Azerbaijan aimed at the poverty reduction and the sustainable development, the development of the small and medium-size entrepreneurship and etc. He especially underlined expansion of relations in this sphere with various international institutions, countries and etc.

Huseynov reported on the practice of the department’s activities on cutting short the monopolist activities and development of competition in the country.
