Ukrainian President appoints new co-chairman of Azerbaijani-Ukrainian joint commission

“The Ukrainian President, Victor Ushenko appointed the First Vice-Premier, Stanislav Stashevsky, co-chairman of the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Interstate Commission on Economic Cooperation,” Igor Kizima, the Ukranian charge d'affair in Azerbaijan, told Trend in an exclusive interview.

Stashevsky is electrical engineer, candidate of technical sciences, honored constructor of Ukraine, full member of the Ukrainian Construction Academy, member of the Popular Union Our Ukraine Party. He was appointed First Vice-Premier instead of Anatoly Kinakha, the present Defense and Safety Secretary, in September 2005. The commission is expected to restore its activity soon.

It should be mentioned that the Azerbaijani co-chairman is the First Vice-Premier, Abbas Abbasov.
