January 2 will be non-working day by decision of Parliament

Due to the New Year Holidays the January 2 is considered the non-working day in Azerbaijan. The decision on it has been adopted at the sitting of the Parliament on 30 December 2005, Trend reports.

The decision has been taken by the recommendation of the Milli Mejlis permanent commission on social policy for the parliament to debate the draft law of Azerbaijan Republic “On introducing changes and supplements to the Labor Code of Azerbaijan”.

By the second change, due to the Ramadan Holiday two days will be considered non-working days.

Earlier, under the law, only one day was considered as non-working day during these holidays.
