Advisory Mejlis to hold talks with Azerbaijan ruling party leadership

Leaders of the parties represented in the Advisory Mejlis hold talks with the leadership

of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) over participation in by-elections to the Parliament on 13 May 2006, the Advisory Mejlis chairman Mammad Alizade told Trend.

Alizade noted, the objective for holding negotiations is that the YAP candidates do not coincide with the units candidates in 10 constituencies, where by-elections will be held. В"The parties chairmen are granted powers by the Mejlis for holding talks with YAP leadership and come to consensus. We took a decision on our representation in the constituency from where YAP has not nominated his candidate.

The Advisory Mejlis chairman said also that the information in which constituency parties chairmen will be represented will be given during one month.
