Russian parliament must pay more attention the issues of struggling xenophobia and skinheads, reportedly said Aydin Mirzazadeh, member of Azerbaijans delegation to PACE, during the conference of PACEs spring session.

Mr Mirzazadeh said even the states that struggled nazi during the war are currently suffering from xenophobia and fascism. В"Murders of students and attacks against representatives of other nations in Russia became habitual. The last case was beating of journalist Elkhan Mirzayev, Russian citizen of Azeri descent, who was explained by skins why he should not have lived in RussiaВ", - said Azeri official, calling such actions В"black spots on Russias imageВ".

However, he continued, all these cases do not show the skinhead movement being popular among the people of Russia. В"Dozens of million people of non-Russian descent reside in the RF, and Russian Government fully uses their potential, and such facts are investigated by law-enforcement bodiesВ", - he added.

В"The very fact of increase of number of attacks conditions the necessity in struggling xenophobia in RussiaВ", - Mr Mirzazadeh concluded.
