Educational and cultural matters discussed in the Nachcivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) by the head of the foreign affairs department of the US embassy, Jonathan Henik on April 17-18.
Within the frames of his visit, Henik met with the NAR Supreme Mejlis chairman, Vasif Talibov, Henik told Trend. Opportunities of developing ties in the above mentioned areas have been discussed at the meeting. One of the topics was arrival of an American expert to Nachcivan for 10 month research in the educational area.
The program also includes meetings with the education minister, rectors of two state universities, and visit to the NAR central library, where the American educational center is functioning.
