President` s visit to US will boost the bilateral relations, the vice secretary of the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan party (YAP), Ali Ahmedov told Trend, speaking about the president` s current visit to US.
There is a deep trust and cooperation between Azerbaijan and United States now, he said. And both sides are interested in further development of these ties. We think that the current visit will boost our
relations significantly. And I think that there is a real necessity in that. Strengthening ties with America has a tremendous importance not only for the regional politics but for the international ones as well, he said.
This visit is of the highest priority or both sides, when Azerbaijani energy supplies are starting to reach the international market and Azerbaijan is becoming more and more important for maintaining security in the region.
We expect that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will also be in the focus of talks in Washington. As US as one of OSCE Minsk group chairman have a decisive role in the resolution of the conflict, he concluded.
