The member of the Azerbaijani delegation attending the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO and the chairman of the Azerbaijan Unified Popular Front Party (AUPFP) Gudrat Hasanguliyev submitted a document to the Political committee structures related to the situation in Southern Azerbaijan, Elchin Mirzabayli, the secretary of AUPFP on international relations, informed Trend.
He noted that the party has drawn up a document related to the events in Southern Azerbaijan to which the international organizations and the world public pay attention and apply political-economical sanctions against Iran. The document reflects the concrete facts of the events taken palace in Iran, as well as information about the parted Azerbaijani people

The document entered into registration and in connection with this, the working group of the political committee starts verifications. The document is of great importance for the creation of an objective opinion about the events in Iran, and the adoption of the document by an influential organization such as NATO is an important fact. It needs to deliver the events in Iran to the world public within the international norms, he said.
The primary demand of the document is that Azerbaijanis should be recognized as a split nation and the assimilation policy against Azerbaijanis in Iran should be finished.
The document was submitted not on behalf of Azerbaijani delegation, but on behalf of AUPFP.
