On 11 September, a Co-operation Protocol was signed in Baku between the Ministry of Culture & Tourism of Azerbaijan and ISESCO. The document was signed within the framework of the 5th Conference of the Tourism Ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Trend reports.
The Protocol was signed by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev and the Director of ISESCO Abdul Aziz Elpvaijiri.
The Protocol envisages conducting cultural days in the headquarters of the Organization, as well as cultural weeks of ISESCO in Azerbaijan. In addition, the document reflects the conducting of meetings of the committees and discussions related to the co-operation between the Ministry and the Organization.
Azerbaijan had become the member of the Organization during the 4th conference of OIC Tourism Ministers held in December 2004.
