Azerbaijan is ready to fulfill its financial obligations regarding the project for construction of Kars-Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi-Baku rail link, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev told on October 2 in Baku while receiving the Turkish Minister of Communications and Transport Binali Ildirim, Trend reports.
The state head mentioned the importance of constructing this rail link for the expansion of the bilateral and regional co-operation. Speaking about the successful development of the co-operation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all spheres including communications and information technologies, Aliyev emphasized the significance of the international telecommunication exhibition that will opened on October 3 in Baku.
The Turkish Minister spoke about the developing relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. He said that the construction of Kars-Akhalkalaki-Tbilisi-Baku rail link will play an important role in useful relations between the countries of the region. According to him, Turkey highly assesses the proper attention of Azerbaijan towards the realization of the project.
