On October 27, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has accepted a delegation of the Marshal Fund. The Head of the Azerbaijani State particularly marked the successful development of the relations between Azerbaijan and US, and particularly with the Marshal Fund. He pointed out that Azerbaijan's cooperation with Marshal Fund will develop in the future even more intensively.

Scott Clad, Head of the Fund's delegation pointed out that interest in Azerbaijan is growing all over the World. He also added that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Fund is transferring to a new stage of development.

On October 27, Turkey's President Nedjet Sezer has made a telephone call to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. During the telephone conversation, the Turkish President congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart on the Independence Day and the religious holiday Ud-Al-Fitr (Ramadan).

Mr. Sezer also invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to take part in the forthcoming summit of Turkic States to be held in Turkey this month.

He pointed out that the meeting will further strengthen friendship and cooperation between Turkish States. Mr. President accepted this invitation

The Head of the Azerbaijani State congratulated his Turkish counterpart on the forthcoming Turkish national holiday the Republic Day.

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated in his interview with the foreign media accredited in Russia that the Government of Russia takes steps for the peaceable resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Trend reports.

The President stated that Russia is a neighbor of Azerbaijan, whereas Armenia does not border with Russia. In addition, Russia is also a co-chair of the OSCE Minks Group, which is involved in the resolution of the [Armenian-Azerbaijani] Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We hold positive work experience with Russian officials and the Russian policy in the settlement of the conflict. We succeeded to eliminate all unsolved problems. Presently, the country has achieved great successes in the economic, political and cultural spheres, the head of the state reiterated.

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated in his interview with the foreign media accredited in Russia that Azerbaijan's official position on the adoption of the legislation penalizing for denial of the so-called Armenian genocide' was commented in an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this respect. Azerbaijan is very much concerned on the initiatives on the consideration of the issue and voting.

The President noted that Azerbaijan is satisfied with the statement by French officials urging that the government will never support this law. The position has been recently sounded in a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and France in Paris, as well as the French embassy in Baku.

We are cooperating with the MPs, and the government of France on this matter. We are satisfied with the standpoints by this country's officials. We believe that France will never allow the legalization of such anti-democratic document, based on unfair shuffling of historic facts, because ideas sounded at the French parliament violate the democracy and its major principles. It would be very difficult for MPs, who voted for this legislation, to speak about democracy and teach democracy representatives of different countries, the Azerbaijani Present assured.

We negatively estimate the legislation and state that it does not meet the truth. The so-called Armenian genocide' is an illusion of the Armenian lobby. To justify their belligerent policy in respect to Azerbaijan they introduce themselves as victims and consider they are right in taking similar steps in respect to Azerbaijanis. The Armenian committed genocide in Khojaly, where the Armenian armed forces killed over 600 people, including children, women and elderly ones, Mr Aliyev said.

The Azerbaijani President also backed Turkey's imitative in the commencement of the talks with Armenian on the issue and publication of the archive material.

On October 26, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) headed by the Director Karin Rautal.

The State Head expressed his satisfaction with the projects realized by the bank in the country. According to Aliyev, developing the regions and non-oil sector is the priority in the policy of the Azerbaijani Government. He voiced his confidence that the co-operation with the EBRD will make contributions to the economic development of the country.

Rautal stressed that the visit aims to be familiarized and obtain full information with the socio-economical development of the country. Conducting meetings, visiting regions including Sangachal terminal allows to more closely get familiarized with the successes achieved in Azerbaijan, the EBRD Director spelled out. According to Rautal, big successes have been achieved in many spheres and large projects are realized in Azerbaijan. EBRD is ready to co-operate with Azerbaijan in implementation of economical projects, she added.

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the candidate for the post of the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Turkish Professor Tomris Turman, Trend reports.

The meeting focused on the support from the Azerbaijani side to the candidature of Turman.

On October 25, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Head of BP Azerbaijan Company David Woodward.

Woodward informed the State Head about the current activities of BP Azerbaijan Company in the country.

By order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev of October 25, Zeyni Adiyev has been awarded with a personal presidential grant for his great services in the development of medicine in the country, Trend reports. By another order of the Head of the Azeraijani State, Musa Badalov has been awarded with a personal presidential grant for his great services in the development of the Azerbaijani education.

Both documents were signed in accordance with the Presidential Decree on Establishing a Personal Grant of the President of Azerbaijan republic of June 11, 2002.

Armenian-Azerbaijani Conflict

The recent statement by the Armenian Foreign Minister, Vardan Oskanyan, regarding the return of all occupied Azerbaijani territories is very highly assessed, the Chief of the Press & Information Policy Department of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, Tahir Tagizade, told Trend.

According to him, the inevitability of returning occupied Azerbaijani territories within the regulation process is a factor for Armenian side. The Armenian Foreign Minister made it clear that the Armenian side understands that the return of all occupied Azerbaijan territories is a very essential element of the regulation, Tagizade emphasized.

Recently, during his speech at the Armenian Parliament, Oskanyan stated that the return of the territories forms a part of the proposals. We will discuss the territories once a definite agreement has been reached regarding the status of Nagorno-Karabakh. Only then will we discuss the details of returning the territories, the Minister said. In addition, he made it clear that all territories of the Nagorno-Karabakh are under the territories northern and eastern parts - including Martuni, Mardaket and Shaumyan. All the territories are topics for discussion. Oskanyan added.

Tagizade said that following the meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers in Brussels, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs will be visiting the region.

He noted that the meeting in Paris of the Azerbaijan and Armenian Foreign Ministers, Elmar Mammadyarov and Vardan Oskanian, with the participation of OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs continued for 5 hours. In its conclusion, in accordance with protocol, the Ministers were photographed with the French Foreign Minister, Philippe Doust-Blizi.

The talks were held in accordance with a new approach which the Co-chairs introduced during the Moscow meeting. Both sides stated their positions. The delegation of Azerbaijan delivered a report regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at the 64th Seminar Rouz Rout held within the framework of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, a member of the Azerbaijani delegation in NATO PA, MP Zahid Oruj told Trend.

Azerbaijan was represented at the seminar by the deputies of the Azerbaijani Parliament Zahid Oruj and Elman Mammadov. The seminar focused on the role of the international community in settling the conflict in Pridnestrov, reforms with regard to defense in Moldavia and other issues.

Oruj stressed that the report had been prepared on the basis of the speculation of Armenia regarding human rights and democracy to bring its independency into legal frameworks. After the speech of the OSCE representative, Elman Mammadov delivered a report. He spoke about the inactive position of OSCE in this process and stressed that it helps the aggressive policy, Oruj stated.

In addition, he pointed out that no documents have been adopted in such seminars. Such seminars serve the study of the positions and implement the function of brain center. Necessary opinions are collected, the speeches are systematized and on the base of it, NATO forms its policy from these regions, the Deputy said. Furthermore he underlined that the Armenian delegation did not participate at the seminar. Only the French Ambassador to Moldavia, Armenian by origin, attended the event.

Oruj stressed that such seminars take place in various venues. Previously such a seminar was held in Crimea. It is planned to hold such a seminar in Georgia. But the date of the seminar is not confirmed as yet, he emphasized.

Detailed discussions were held in Paris on the supplemental elements demanding a number of specifications in the document Base principles for regulation of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, mentioned in the statement of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group as a result of the Paris meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov and Armenia Vardan Oskanyan, Trend reports with reference to the statement on the French Embassy in Azerbaijan.

The Ministers held a constructive meeting in open and frank manner, stressed in the statement of the Minsk Group co-chairs. At the time of the meeting, the work was continued on the document Base principles for regulation of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Ministers agreed upon the next meeting to continue the talks on November 14 in Brussels. The co-chairs plan to make a visit to the region at the end of November to discuss the possibilities of the next meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents.

It should be mentioned that the meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian Foreign Ministers took place on October 24 in the building of the French Foreign Ministry, with the participation of co-chairs Bernar Face (France), Matthew Bryza (USA) and Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia), as well as special representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andzey Kasprzyk.

The issue of preventing conflicts will be discussed in the 14th meeting of the OSCE Ministers in Brussels on December 4-5. According to the information provided by the OSCE, the event is held with the invitation of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht, Trend reports.

The meeting will give opportunities to the Foreign Ministers of 56 countries to assess and review their activities over the past period and offer their national views on security. The OSCE is the largest regional security organization that brings together the countries of Europe, Central Asia and North America. The aim of the organization is to prevent the conflicts, regulate crisis and rehabilitate the post-conflict territories.

Azerbaijan will be represented in the event by the Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

Foreign Policy

Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the delegation of German Marshal Foundation, Trend reports with reference to the statement of the Azerbaijan Foreign Minister.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister informed the guests about the situation in the region, interrelations with the neighboring countries, Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the ways of its settlement.

Mammadyarov answered to the questions of the guests regarding the geo-policy of Azerbaijan, realization of global-economical projects, religious situation, efforts of Azerbaijan to restore peace and stability in the region.

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium informed Trend that a meeting of the Committee on EUAzerbaijan Co-operation will be held in Brussels on 21 and 22 November 2006.

The Azerbaijan parliamentary delegation will be headed by Valeh Alasgarov, the Vice Speaker of Milli Majlis [Parliament] who will be supervising the interactions with the European Parliament.

The meeting will focus on the current state of co-operation between the countries and will outline its future plans.

The relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine are at the high level, the Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told at the meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly with Vice President, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Committee of the Ukrainian Supreme Rada Oleg Bilorus, Trend reports with reference to the Press-Service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Mentioning the coincidence positions of the two countries on many political aspects, the Minister stressed that a bilateral confidence has created within international forums and GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldavia). Mammadyarov mentioned the necessity of increasing the attention of the international community towards the occupation fact of Azerbaijani territories and problems with refugees and internally displaced persons.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the projects realized in the region and the prospects of the infrastructure projects.

In his exclusive interview with Trend the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, Bernard due Chaffout said that France as a member of the European Union can take an active part in Azerbaijan's further integration into the organization and is prepared to do so, if Azerbaijan desires it. France can concretely prepare Azerbaijan within specific cooperation frameworks in the political, social and economic sectors, in the form of technical assistance mission, training, exchange of experience and information for upgrade of the state of Azerbaijan and bringing Baku closer to the European experience, as well as future integration of the country in to the European Union.

The next meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Co-operation Committee will take place in Baku in 2007, the Azerbaijani Ambassador in the Benelux countries and European Union Arif Mammadov exclusively told Trend.

Such decision has been made at the 6th meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Co-operation Committee recently held in Brussels. The Azerbaijani delegation in the meeting was headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev and Deputy Economic Development Minister Mikayl Jabbarov. Form the European Union, the delegation was presided by the Deputy Director General of the EU Foreign Directorate General Fokion Fotiadis, as well as representatives of the Finnish President.

The sides organized debates on many questions of the mutual co-operation and confirmed the documents of the upcoming meeting. The considered documents included EU-Azerbaijan Action Program, co-operation with regard to energy, commercial-economical relations, assistance and co-operation programs and regional problems. In addition, the European Neighborhood Policy Action Program was agreed.

The Vice President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the First Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Committee of Ukrainian Supreme Rada Oleg Bilorus who is in Azerbaijan on a visit met with the members of the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Inter-Parliamentary Co-operation Group, Trend reports with reference to the Press-Service of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament].

The Head of the Group, member of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission for Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology, Farrukh Zeynalov stressed that Ukraine is Azerbaijan's strategic partner. Azerbaijan closely co-operates with Ukraine within the framework of OSCE and GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldavia).

In addition, Zeynalov mentioned the role of the friendly group in the development of the relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries. The Deputy highly assessed the activities of the Group.

Bilorus stressed that the role of the Group in the development of their overall relations is immense. A Group has also been created in the Supreme Rada of Ukraine with the Azerbaijan Parliament

Azerbaijan is expected to take the button of chairmanship in the Initiative Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of South Caucasus (PASC) at 6th Session of the Initiative Group of PASC to be held in December, Azerbaijani MP Siyavush Novruzov, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PASC Initiative Group told Trend today.

Mr. Novruzov pointed out that during the forthcoming meeting, three urgent issues are expected to be discussed. The PASC Initiative Group will mainly be occupied with discussing an issue of chairmanship in the organization. According to the rules, the mission of chairmanship is passed to the other country in every six months. This time, this turn is for Azerbaijan. Mr. Novruzov said. The MP also pointed out that during the last meeting of the organization, an exchange of opinions on ecological issues took place. The Azerbaijani delegation introduced issues on polluting the Kura and Araks waters by certain poisoning substances, burning the Azerbaijani territories and forests and other issues on damaging the ecology and environment of the country to the agenda of the last meeting. This time, issues on transit corridors and issues on their security, as well as issues on integration of South Caucasus to Europe, and bringing the legislation in accordance with European standards are expected to be discussed, said Mr. Novruzov.

He also told out that a sitting of the Presidium of the Organization is expected to be held in Belgium in November this year.

The 5th Session of the Initiative Group of PASC organized by the non-governmental organization LINKS (UK) was held in London in July 20-24, 2006.

A delegation of MPs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is expected to arrive in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani MP Siyavush Novruzov, Head of the Interparliamentary Friendly Group between Azerbaijan and UAE, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party Yeni Azerbaijan (New Azerbaijan) exclusively told Trend today.

Mr. Novruzov pointed out that the Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament (Milli Majlis) keeps the activity of all these interparliamentary friendly groups in the centre of his attention. The Speaker has set a task to all the groups to aim the main activity at this sphere. It is true that if earlier it was a symbolic nature, now the relations are seriously expanding, said Mr. Novruzov.

The MP pointed out that the friendly group headed by him is developing relations with UAE. He also told that parliamentary elections will be held in UAE in a couple of days. After the elections are completed, a big UAE delegation is expected to visit Azerbaijan. Mr. Novruzov also told that in this connection the Arabian party had sent an appeal to Azerbaijan. He also pointed out that this issue had also been discussed during the meeting with the UAE President's Plenipotentiary during his recent visiting Azerbaijan.

A meeting between the Heads of the Azerbaijani-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission for Delimitation and Demarcation of Boundaries is expected to be held in a day or two, Khalaf Khalafov, Deputy Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister exclusively told Trend today.

The meeting is to be held in Baku. A meeting between working groups was held on the territories of the Azerbaijani-Georgian border that has not been agreed yet a few days ago. The experts studied some sections of the border.

Mr. Khalafov also added that an issue on delimitation of state boundaries of the countries that are members of the organization that was initiated by Ukraine was discussed during the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of CIS Countries on October 15. Azerbaijan supported this initiative, since it considers that the delimitation of the boundaries of the countries of FSU (Former Soviet Union) should be completed as soon as possible.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is expected to make a visit to Kuwait, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kuwait Shahin Abdullayev, told Trend exclusively.

The visit has been scheduled for November of this year. In the nearest future, the sides will begin to prepare the visit, but presently the date of the visit is being agreed on, the diplomat stressed.

The agenda of the negotiations includes the prospects of the political, economical and humanitarian relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait.

The next, 8th meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council meeting is scheduled to take place on November 13-14 at Brussels, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is expected to take part in the meeting on the one side and Representative of the Finnish Presidency on behalf of the EU on the other. It is expected that as a result of the meeting, an Action Plan will be signed between EU and Azerbaijan in accordance with the European Neighborhood Program.

The Cooperation Council is the highest regular meeting between Azerbaijan and the EU which takes place every year to review the progress of relations between parties and set priorities for the next year.

Prior to the forthcoming State visit to France in January 2007of the Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, development of the bilateral relations is very satisfactory, the French Foreign Minister Flip Dust-Blazi stated during his meeting with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, Trend reports with reference to the statement of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan.

The French Foreign Minister commented on the successful development of trade relations. Last year the amount of trade turnover between the two Countries increased three-fold and reached в'¬500,000,000. According to the Minister, French companies are well represented in Azerbaijan, and a significant co-operation has begun between the two Countries regarding civil defense and culture.

A delegation of the Jordanian Government headed by the Jordanian Prime Minister, Marouf Bakhit, will visit Azerbaijan from 6-9 November, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli exclusively told Trend.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a delegation which includes several Ministers and nearly 20 representatives of the business circle of Jordan, the Ambassador said. The visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Jordan and Azerbaijan, as well as discussing the realization of the agreements reached during the official visit of the Jordanian King Abdalla II to Azerbaijan on 22-23 August 2006, Arasli stated.

According to Arasli, during the visit of the delegation, it is planned to hold a meeting with the Azerbaijan Head and conduct a Business Forum and commercial-industrial exhibition.

On the eve of their visit, it is expected to create an Intergovernmental Commission for Economical Co-operation between Azerbaijan and Jordan, the diplomat said.

Within the visit of the Jordanian Prime Minister, a number of documents are expected to be signed with regards to the development of bilateral relations in various spheres, the Ambassador stated. The documents are presently being agreed upon, he concluded.

Political life

If Musavat Party returns to the real opposition camp, it will be possible to co-operate with them, the co-founder of Azadlig Political Block, Chairman of Citizen and Development Party, Ali Aliyev told Trend.

He stressed that they had co-operated with Musavat Party till the 2006 parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. If the decision dividing us to change, the co-operation may be restored again, Aliyev said.

The Chairman of the party said that the block plans to boycott the 2008 presidential elections. In addition, Aliyev underlined that if the composition of the election commissions is not formed on base of the proposals of opposition, the block will not participate in the forthcoming presidential elections. Therefore, the block doesn't discuss the issue of the unified candidate, Aliyev pointed out.

Answering the correspondent's question on is it possible to link the tactics of boycott with absence of the consensus in the unified candidate, Aliyev replied that despite that appointing the unified candidate is a difficult procedure, the political wish of the leaders of the block will be enough to make a common decision.

The Chairman of Azerbaijan Democratic Reforms Party (ADRP) Asim Mollazadeh met with the Vice President of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Head of the Ukrainian delegation in OSCE Oleg Bilorus.

The meeting focused on the regional problems, Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, co-operation within Organization for Democracy and Development - GUAM and relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, Trend reports with reference to the Press-Service of ADRP.

Asim Mollazadeh stressed that irrespective of the principles of territorial integrity of the European countries and the principles of Security in Europe after the World War II, the OSCE demonstrates passivity in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

He underlined that the member-countries of Organization for Democracy and Development - GUAM should act from a unified position in the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh problem and other conflicts.

In his turn, Bilorus stated that conducting referendum in occupied territory of any country is contrary to the international legislation.

Azerbaijani opposition that calls itself as democratic has always been the victim of its ambitions, the Co-chairman of Azerbaijan Social-Democratic Party (ASDP) Araz Alizade told Trend, commenting on the current situation with several oppositional forces that want to boycott 2008 presidential elections.

In addition, Alizade said that they will participate in 2008 presidential elections. He stressed that the opposition will not have a unified candidate in the forthcoming presidential elections. ASDP has enough high level of forces to participate with its candidate, he underlined.

ASDP Chairman also expressed his attitude towards the position of several oppositional forces to boycott the upcoming presidential elections. He emphasized that these elections will bring no successes to them. Moreover, he pointed out that the weakness of the Azerbaijani opposition calling itself as democratic is that they have always become the victim of their ambitions, Alizade added.

The opposition ASDP was created in 1990. One of the co-founder of the party is the ex-Azerbaijani President Ayaz Mutallibov who has been living in Moscow in emigration.

State building

The results of the elections over the Buzovna village municipality of Azizbeyov Election District No. 13 and Uzunboyat and Melikler village municipalities of Devechi-Siyezen Election District No. 54 were cancelled. Such decision was made in the meeting of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC) on October 25, Trend reports.

A research was held on base of the complaints submitted from these election districts. Law-breaks were revealed in various polling stations of these municipalities. The results of the November 6 elections in the municipalities Buzovna, Uzunboyat and Melikler were called null and void.

According to the electoral legislation of Azerbaijan, repeat elections should be held in these municipalities.

According to the Law, repeat elections will be held in three municipalities within three months, results of which were considered to be invalid, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC), Mazahir Panahov, told Trend in an exclusive interview.

Panahov stressed that according to the Law, within three months, repeat elections will be held in the three municipalities, results of which are considered invalid. In addition, he stated that the date of the elections is to be appointed only by the CEC. We will try to hold the elections within three months. 11 persons will be elected in the repeat elections in three municipalities, Panahov said.

On 25 October, the CEC made a decision to annul two commissions. The composition of the district election commissions of Azizbeyov election district No. 13 and Davachi-Siyazan election district No. 54 was cancelled for reasons of law-breaking.

Panahov stressed that in the near future the composition of these two commissions will be formed again. It will be settled very quickly as the repeat elections will be held in the same district. CEC Chairman stated.

692 out of 1901 candidates gaining victory in the municipal election held on October a in Azerbaijan are neutral, and the remaining are the representatives of 20 political parties, Trend reports with reference to the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan.

On October 27, Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan's Parliament) Ogtay Asadov has accepted Mindaugas Mikaylu, Chairman of the Lithuanian State Social Insurance Fund, the Press-service of the Azerbaijani Parliament told Trend.

The Azerbaijani Speaker pointed out that Azerbaijan pays much attention to the development of its relations with many countries in different spheres. Lithuania is one of these countries. The negotiations were held, and documents signed during the meeting of the heads of the two countries, and mutual visits have created a ground for better developing our relations. Azerbaijan, which is dynamically developing now, pays close attention to the social protection of the population. Along with economic reforms in the country, the Parliament is keeping its eye on a legal regulation of the social sphere, said Mr. Asadov.

The Lithuanian guest expressed an opinion concerning the development in Lithuanian-Azerbaijani cooperation. He pointed out that Azerbaijan's experience in the sphere of social protection of the population is of a great interest to Lithuania. The Fund, he represents pays a particular attention to cooperation with the corresponding structures of Azerbaijan.
